Regulations and Governance:
The Dean Row Village Hall Scheme regulations are operated under a scheme approved by the Charity Commission for England and Wales dated 10[th] July 1975 and as varied from time to time by the Charity Commission.The Scheme is administered and managed by the Committee of Management ( herein described as the Management Committee).
Summary:
Routine maintenance has continued to ensure the safety and comfort of the Hall users. No major works were undertaken in 2020, due to Covid 19, but several minor works/repairs and renewals were carried out including buying and fitting new stage curtains and expenses involved in making the Hall Covid Secure. Planned major works on the exterior walls have been postponed until 2021.
Income: Usual Input here. Special notes. The Village Hall received £11,344 from CEC in the form of Lockdown Grants and Local Restriction Payments. The separate Roof Account was closed in May 2020 with remaining funds of £1,653.48 being diverted to the Current Account. Donations towards a New Piano of £2,913 are included in the Current Account.

Expenditure on new stage curtains £589. £7,000 was transferred back to the Reserve Account on 11/05/2020 to reimburse funds given towards the Roof Fund in 2019

Reserves Policy and Investment Policy:
It is the Management Committee’s policy to maintain the balance in unrestricted funds to the maximum extent possible, to ensure that there are sufficient funds to maintain the current level of expenditure for the foreseeable future. It is the policy of the DRVH Management Committee to invest surplus funds with Barclays Bank Plc in a base rate reserve account.
Notes:
These accounts have been prepared in a simple income and expenditure format as in previous years. As our gross revenue is less than £25,000 we are not required to go through a formal audit or examination.
