Friday, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. Regular ministry
continued using the Church website.

continued to be held every Tuesday evening with occasional visits
from representatives of a number of missionary societies that the
Church supported.
In April, the monthly"4th Wednesday" afternoon meeting
commenced providing a vanety of relaxing activities which attracted
a number of local residents.

l Any significant reserves held by the Charity are nornially invested
in a managed fund. Following the death of a longstanding member,
the Church received a significant legacy including a house. The
house was in need of significant work so following legal advice it
was agreed that it should be put up for sale. A substantial offer was
received and accepted. The funds received are currently held in a
high interest notice bank account

The charit5Hs constitution is that of a Charitable Trust. The trustees of the charity comprise the Elders

FINANCIAL REVIEW
Any significant reserves held by the Charity are normally invested in a managed fund.
The Charity reported a net surplus for the year of £235,348. Details are shown on the Statement of
Financial Activities on page 7.
The net assets of the Charity at 31st December 2024 amounted to £457,553. The total assets of the
Charity are monitored by the trustees to ensure that there are always sufficient funds to meet all
known liabilities.

TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES STATEMENT
The trustees are responsible for preparing the trustees, report and the financial statements in
accordance with the United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounting Practice} and applicable law and regulations.
The law applicable to charities requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial
year which give a true and fair view of Ihe state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources
and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the
trustees are required to..
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently,.
observe the methods a nd principles i n the Charities SORP,
make judgements and estimaies that are reasonable and prudent,.
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material
departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements,. and
prepare the financial statements on the going corTrcern basis unle5S It is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records thai disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial
statements comply with Ihe Charitie5 Act 2011, the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulation5
2008, and the provisions of the constituiion. The trustees are also responsible for safegLJarding the
assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud
and other irregularities.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER
A resolution to appoint Mr N Smith FCCA of Rotherham Taylor Limited as independent examiner for
the ensuing year will be proposed at the annual general meeting.

year ended 31 December 2024 which comprise the Statement of Financial Activities, the Balance
Sheet and relaied notes which are set out on pages 6 to 11.
This report Is made solely to the charitys trustees, as a body, in accordarnce with Secrion 145 of the
Charities Act 2011 . My work has been undertaken so that I might state to Ihe charitys trustees those
matters l am required lo state to them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent
permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charity and Ihe
charit5ls trustees as a body, for my worl for this report, or for the opinions I have formed.
Responsibilities and basis of report
the charit5ls trustees of Inskip Baptist Church you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounis in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I'the Att?.
I report in respect of my examination of Inskip Baptist Church accounts carried out under Section 145
of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given
by the Charity Commission under seciion 145{511bl of the Act.
An independent examinaiion does not involve gathering all the evidence that would be required in an
audit and consequently doe5 not cover all the matters that an auditor considers in giving their opinion
on the financial statemen15. The planning and conduct of an audit goes beyond the limited assurance
that an independent examination can provide. Consequently l express no opinion as 10 whether the
financial statements present a 'true and fair, view and my report 15 limited to Ihose specific matters set
out in the independent examiner's statement.

Since Inskip Baptist Church's income exceeded £250,000, your examiner must be a member of a
body listed in Section 145 of the 2011 Act. I confirm that l am qualified to undertake the examination
because l am a member of the ￿50(lation of Chartered Certified Accountants, which is one of the

I have completed my examinaiion. I confirm that no material matter5 have come 10 my attention in
connection with the exami nation giving me cause to believe that in any material respect..

1 ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Statement of compliance
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the second edition of the Charities
Statement of Recommended Practice issued in October 2019, the Financial Reporiing Standard
applicable in the United Kingdom and Republ ic of Ireland IFRS 102} and the Charities Act 2011.
Basis of preparation
Inskip Baptist Church meets the definiiion of public benefit entlty under FRS 102. Assets and liabililies
are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant
accounting policy notelsl.
Going concem
The trustees have prepared budgets and a forecast which gives Ihem adequate comfort Ihat the
charitable company is a going concern. As a result, the charitable companys financial statements have
been prepared on a going concern basis.
Prior period restatement
During the period ended 31st E)ecember 2024, the Charity has adopted the accruals basis of
accounting due to its gros5 income exceeding £250,000. The impact of the restatement of the
Cofnparative figures is a decrease in expenditure on charitable activities of £435,477 and a
corresponding increase in iotal funds as at 31 Sl December 2023, as previously reported.
Income
Recognition of Income
These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities when..

Offerings and legacies
Donations and legacies are recognised on a receivable basis when receipt is probable and the
amount can be reliably measured.
Investment income
Investment income is recognised in Ehe financial statement when the receipt is probable and the
amount receivable can be measured reliably.
Expenditure and liabilities
All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to that expenditure, it is
probable settlement is required, and the amouni can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated 10
the applicable expenditure heading that aggregate similar c05t5 to that category. Where costs cannot
be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated on a basis consistent with the
use of resources, with central siaff costs allocated on the basis of time speni, and depreciation charges
allocated on the portion of the asset's use.

settlement amount after any trade discoun15 or amount advanced by the charity. Subsequently, they
re measured at the cash or other consideration expected to be received.
Cash at bank and cash in hand
Cash at bank and cash in hand includes cash and short term highly liquid inveslment5 With a short
maturity value of three months or less from the date of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar
account.
Fund structure
Unrestricted income funds are gener31 funds that are available for use at the trustees, discretion in
furtherance of Ihe objectives of the charity. ResLricled income funds are those donated for use in a
particular area or for specific purposes, the use of which is restricted to thai area or purpose.
Financial instruments
The charity only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently
measured at their settlement value.
