Section C Objectives and activities
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
To promote the advancement of general education in relation to all aspects of Art and Drama and the development of public appreciation of such art. To this end membership is open to all interested parties and we stage three productions per season Sept - June.

During the centenary season, the society successfully staged three major theatrical productions: The Vicar of Dibley: The Second Coming, Pride and Prejudice, and The 39 Steps. These productions provided cultural engagement for the local community and offered opportunities for both new and existing members to participate in acting and backstage roles.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Record Attendance : The society welcomed 2,707 patrons, a remarkable 50% increase from the 1,869 attendees the previous year.

Artistic Excellence : All productions were noted for their high standard, resulting in positive audience feedback and several local nominations. Notably, member Richard Dodd received a regional nomination in Manchester.

Operational Modernization : Utilizing surplus funds from the season's success, the charity invested in a new MacBook for technical capabilities and an additional card reader to streamline patron donations and payments.

Marketing Success : The implementation of new marketing strategies, such as local magazine advertisements and physical banners, was credited with significantly contributing to the year's record-breaking turnover.
