| Trustees have reviewed and are in compliance with Charity Commission guidance on public benefit. Income is applied for charitable purposes within the five parishes with foreshore access to Coniston Water. Charities and voluntary bodies are eligible to apply for grant aid. |
Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main Trustees own and manage property at Lake Bank, Blea Brows and Haws achievements of the charity Bank, providing public access to the lake shore and spectacular views of during the year Coniston Water. As owners of the bed of the lake, mooring licenses are issued to encourage quiet and peaceful recreation on Coniston Water. The Trust provided financial support to sixteen charities and voluntary bodies during 2022. A total of £35,475 was awarded with individual sums ranging from £325 to £5,000.

Brief statement of the charity’s Rathbones act on behalf of the Trustees to invest funds available after policy on reserves grant making activities and other charitable purposes. Land is acquired from time to time to maintain public access under local management for quiet and peaceful recreation within the five parishes of Coniston Water. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 December 2022.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
