**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE BRANCH SHALL BE TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE IMPROVEMENT, PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF THE COUNTRYSIDE OF NORTH YORKSHIRE, REDCAR AND CLEVELAND AND THEIR TOWNS AND VILLAGES AND THE BETTER DEVELOPMENT OF THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT.

**Activities:** Endeavour to influence the conduct and policies of local and national government and other bodies; to ensure that development is in the best interests of the people who live in North Yorkshire. We also seek to preserve the landscape and townscapes as best can be done in the light of changing circumstances. We co-operate closely with like minded bodies in the pursuit of these activities.
