The charities governlng document is a constitution adopted on the 29th of June 2021. The constitution can be amended by a two thirds majorlty of members present at the Annual General Meeting or an Extraordinary General Meetfng provided 14 days, notice has been sent to all members. Alms and Achievements The objects of the charity of the holding of a music, speech and drama festival In Alderley Edge annually or at such other periods, the organlsation of concerts, lectures and other meetings of an educational nature complementary to the festival, and any other activity which may contribute to the attainment of the objects. The annual general meeting was held on the 21st of November 2023. Flnanclal Review The annual accounts have been examined as required under section 145 of the charities act 2011 and the accounting records have been maintained in accordance with section 130 of the said act. Due to increased entry levels and consequently the festivals growth, both income and expenditure are inevitably increasing however the gap between the two maintsins less disparity than the previous year. The entry levels having increased is a positive indicatlon that the overall situation is writing itself post the pandemic era. The reserves held having increased by around 1%, which is encouraging as one of the committee's aims is for Income and expenditure to achleve parity. Approwdl This report and the annexed accounts have been approved by the trustees as a body and signed on their behalf by the chaimlan and treasurer who are authorised by the trustees to do so.
