Mission, Objgctives and Strategy Objectives The principal activities 8nd objectives of the charity are the operation of a burial board for The Manchester Congregations of Spanish and Portuguese Jew5 and the distribution of surplus investrnent income to other charities. Structure, Governance and Management Structure The Constituent Congregations biennially each appoint six eklers lo the Board, which also includes the immediate Past President and Honorary Life Elders. The Board elects from amongst ils members five Executive offi￿[$ lo administer the day-lo-day affairs of the Board. All significant investment or expenditure deusions are made by the Board. RESPONSIBILITIES for the financial year ended 31 December 2023 The Iruslees are responsible for prepanng the financial statements in accordan￿ with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charities in EThJland and Wales requires th8 trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the assets. liabilities and financial position of the charity as at the financial year end dale and of the surplus or defiat of the charity and otherwise comply with the Charities Act 2011.
