New Trustees (Direclorsl are recruited by the existing Trustees and recommènded to Ihe Company
AGM. where they are subsequenlly approved by a vole of thè company members, They Serve a three
year term and can be reappointed when this expires. TnJslee5 may appoint a new Tfuslee durin9 the
year, who can Serve until Ihe next AGM. During 2022 Trustees lightened up on expenditure by
inlroducing annual budgets fof each ol the main aieas ol CEL'S work. A group ol Trustee5 meets
several limes a year lo plan future 51ralegy.
Trustees. Review of the Year:
2022 marked Green Christian's 40th anniversary and this was Ihe focus of the Autumn issue ol Green
Chrisli8n magazine, in which three patron5 shared reflections 'looking back, lookin9 foMards'.
Green Christian continued lo return lo in-peison w¢yking in 2022, wsth On The Road Togelh8r events
held in Sallburn in JLJly'. in Dronfield and York in September and in Earley IReadingl and Edinburgh in
October. Green Christian'5 5U51ainable economics project Joy In Enough was the focus of the
Building Back Greener conference held in Birmingham. also in Oclober. In January Green Christian
held a Way Of Life Cornmunity day gathering, in August we held a stall al the Greenbett festival, and
in October we ran a stand al the 3-day Christian Resources Exhibition in Sandown Park, E5her. We
a150 provided volunteers and malerials for stalls al olher events around the counlry.
Green Christian also continued lo hold Zoom workshops and meetings throughout the year on
Wednesday Evenings, such as a series of monthly Joy In Enough themed talks. These were with
invited speaker5 on specialist t0p￿S relevanl lo the economy and Ihe recordings have been pul on our
YouTube channel.
Our monthly Prayer guide with a prayerl medilalion for each day was available online and sent out
rnonlhly. or daily, lo Ihose who subscribe.
Two issues of Grgen Chnslian Magazine were published. in March and September, a5 well as the
annual Slom of Hope pamphlet in January. Green Christian iemained active on Facebook, Twitter
and Inslagiam. We re-dEsigned four of OUT leaflets and produced a new sel of posters.
Green Christian's work conlirsued lo be overse&n by seven GTOUPS. Each Group comprises ,Iwo
Iru51ees and additional volunleers.
Formation provide5 the theological framework al the heart ol which is the Way ol Lile CommLJnity
marked by four spiritual disGiplines of Prayer, Living Gently, Public Witness and Encouragement.
Engagement & Inclusion Iforrnerly Participalionl ge15 our members involved and active, sharing in
Green Christian's mission cenlrally or locally.
Media and Online Media engages Wlth 4,287 Twitter I X followe[5. 2,100 members of Ihe Facebook
group, and 8 new In51agram channel with 472 foll¢)wers. The Green Chrislian website had 99,248
visits. We sent oul 30 issues of our e-new5 to 1.749 members and supporters. Our members, email

Administration". We employ a lew people part-lime.. fv40 adminislralors, one for general Green
Christian work and another for Joy in Enough and Borrowed Time, plus a third lor membership work.
We have Iwo part-lime paid web editors for the Green Christian and Joy in Enough websites. For
2022 we also paid a part-lime fund raiser.
Borrowed Time, our e¢￿grIef initiative, launched ils own website. We ran several sessions of Deep
Water5, an eight session guided refleclion and distussion exploring climate grief and eGo-anxiety.

Another focus ol this Initiative was piloting a Cloud and Fire programme aimed particularly al those
active in p051oral care and church leèdeiship.
Our Joy in Enough project is a challenge lo Chri51ians to build a just economy within the ecoltrgieal
limits Df thè Earth.

CEL continued lo be in a strong financial position al the end of 2022. Subscription income continues
lo inerease year on year, and an appeal in Lent 2022 brought in an additional £2.752. 2022 saw a
slight increase in costs as the return lo in pe150n working continued, bul the charlty still finished the
year with a healthy surplus of £8,584 overall12021.' £10.9261.
The balance of unreslricled cash and cash equivalenls al the end of 2022 was £90,77612021.'
