TRUSTEES' REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 5 APRIL 2022
The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial statements of Alongside for His Glory (the charity) for the year ended 5 April 2022. The Trustees confirm that the Annual report and financial statements of the charity comply with the current statutory requirements, the requirements of the charity's governing document and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP), applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards for Smaller Entities (effective 1 January 2015).
Structure, governance and management
CONSTITUTION
The principle object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian Faith in accordance with its historic, biblical and orthodox formulations in the life of the Church shared across its various denominational expressions and missionary enterprises, which are directed towards the welfare, education and redemptive care of all; particularly, in the relief of suffering and the alleviation of poverty both of spirit and body.
The charity changed its name from New Day Ministries to Alongside for His Glory.
METHOD OF APPOINTMENT OR ELECTION OF TRUSTEES
The management of the charity is the responsibility of the Trustees who are elected and co-opted under the terms of the Deed of Trust.
RISK MANAGEMENT
The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of the charity, and are satisfied that systems and procedures are in place to mitigate our exposure to the major risks.
Objectives and Activities
POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES
The Trust's primary objective is to promote Christian faith by working in partnership with local churches and their leadership, and with Christian organisations and their leadership, and with individual believers and seekers to enhance and facilitate the primary objective. This may occur at local, national or international levels and across all denominational boundaries.
It does so by continuing to support and facilitate the ministries of Steve & Sue Rayment as they serve the overarching purpose of promoting Christian faith in various contexts.
ACTIVITIES FOR ACHIEVING OBJECTIVES
A variety of activities are employed in the pursuit of the above objectives in the realm of prayer, teaching, and prophetic resource and support for individuals and churches. This may take the form of ministry and teaching on Sundays in local churches, conferences, teaching series, training & teaching days, seminars, mentoring, spiritual direction, retreats and personal counselling.
Achievements and performance
GOING CONCERN
Page 2
ALONGSIDE FOR HIS GLORY
After making appropriate enquiries, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate
resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.
REVIEW OF ACTIVITIES
The work of the Trust has continued apace over this last year, when Covid was at its highest there were many zoom and mobile calls in a day, and since the summer things have increasingly opened up for more face to face individual and group meetings, though this has not and will not remove the place that video conference calls (Zoom) has found, partly due to the opportunity that it gives for those in other nations to be part of them.
This year the work seems to have become more established and fruitful, it’s a little like Steve has settled into it in a more relaxed way, like a hand fitting a well-used glove, the work reflects Steve’s heart and personality very well. The pattern of most days is for Steve to arise early and spend time in the Scriptures and prayer followed by having time with Sue and Mike after which he will engage in meetings on line or in person or in necessary admin or further reading. The commitment to walk alongside people is sometimes just for a moment and the in other situations it is in an ongoing relationship, to see them through and out the other side of difficult times.
This year involved walking with 2 Christian brothers through painful divorces that neither of them wanted, a family through 2 bereavements (Steve has taken 3 funerals during the year) a continued and expanding role within the Top Barn Trust ministry where Steve is present at least for one if not two (whole or part) days a week along with nearly daily phone calls. It has been a delight to see those involved in the ministry there, growing in confidence in their walk and relationship with the Lord. Currently he is recording a series of 3 minute talks on growing in hearing Gods voice.
The work with ‘The House of Bread, Warwickshire’ has decreased this year, Steve has handed the chairmanship on, the team have become more established and able to move forward with very little input from him, and it is likely (though currently confidential) that he will step down from being a Director / Trustees at the end of the year and be available more in an advisory capacity rather than hands on.
There is a couple, ‘The Packett’s’ ex missionaries from Portugal, who were called back to this country by the Lord a couple of years ago and where a door has opened up for a huge amount of input during this period, not only to Andy and Lucy but also their eldest son, now 18. Their hunger for the things of God is exceptional, along with their receptivity for all Steve can pour out is somewhat unrivalled. It has been a joy to walk with them, and input their lives and to see their own ministry further established. With individuals it’s often and occasional or monthly meeting but there are two young men in their mid30’s that Steve has walked alongside weekly (one on a 6:15 am zoom, the other an evening phone call) the latter during his protracted divorce, but what a privilege to walk alongside such young men in their desire to put Christ central and seek to please Him through all areas of their lives. This level of input is costly, but as Isaiah says ‘that they might be oaks of righteousness the planting of the Lord for the display of His splendour.’
All the above ministry is motivated by Steve’s love for the Lord and desire to see more of the Kingdom of God manifest through his own life and those around him. As with last year, Steve asked a couple of the ministries and individuals to give a short testimony as to what it has meant to receive from the ministry of ‘Alongside for His Glory’.

David Harper, (Chairman of Top Barn Trust.) 6[th] March 2022
This message is to the trustees of Steve Rayment’s charity. We just want to say what a tremendous help Steve has been to us on the Top Barn Trust. He is a constant reminder to us all that Father God must be included in every discussion and decision. As a leader in the ministry he brings a Godly wisdom and clarity as to the way forward. Thank you so much for enabling him to be such an inspiring and encouraging friend to us. We love him.
Andy & Lucy Packett . (Directors of the ministry – ‘The Arising’) 4th March 2022
For the Trustees of Alongside for your glory. Over the last year I've had the privilege of having Alongside For Your Glory minister to me, (Andy) my wife and I as a couple, to Josh, our eldest son, and on occasion to us all as a family. We connect with Steve at least once a week through an online zoom meeting and at other times during the week through phone calls and messages. We consider Steve Rayment and his ministry to be one of the most significant encouragements we have received in our Christian walk. It is very difficult to quantify just how important this ministry has been to us as a family. It has also been a significant blessing in the setting up of our own Christian ministry, The Arising. Steve has been pivotal in helping us get this off the ground, with constant encouragement and belief in us and what we're building, whilst displaying humility and remarkable generosity in the giving of his time and energy to us.
Our eldest son considers Steve to be a spiritual father figure and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to his weekly meetings with Steve. Steve's encouragement through prayer, prophecy, Bible teaching and continuous encouragement have been extremely beneficial to his own growth in his love for Jesus and his faith journey with God.
We are truly grateful for this ministry and for the deep friendship with Steve, which has developed so strongly over the last 12 months.
Rich Read. ( 6[th] March 2022)
It’s has been such a blessing and a real privilege to have had the opportunity to walk with Steve. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so kind, intentional and so after the Father’s heart. He has walked with me for over 2 and a half years now through a very difficult period and I can honesty say he has been a true friend and rock during that time, sacrificing his time in such a loving way and with committed consistency. There are not many people I feel safe with to discuss and offer all of myself, but I do with Steve. He is a true listener, to God and others. He listens to and walks with you with absolutely no air of judgment, which for me has really opened my eyes to the importance of and healing through transparency and actually what true friendship and community is supposed to look like. I feel I know the Father so much more now, I understand myself and others better and Steve has been a big part of that journey. Steve is a real blessing to me, I’m truly thankful for him.
George Carpenter. (6[th] March 2022)
I have never met anyone with the particular gifting and sincere heart to literally walk along side those in ministry as Steve Rayment. After spending time with Steve, I always leave feeling closer to our Father, and free from wrong thinking, unforgiveness or hurt whether personal or picked up in ministry. When I think of Steve I see a picture of a master fisherman helping a younger fisherman to untangle and clean his

nets. It takes time, patience and love. Steve helps people get free, and then sincerely follows up to make sure they are keeping free. After 16 years in full time ministry, I’ve only known Steve for this last 12 months, at probably the most critical transitional time in our lives, and I can honestly say, his unique gifting and friendship is a gift from God to us.
