for the year ended 31st March 2025
The Trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31
March 2025. The trustees have adopted the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 "Accountlng and Reporting by
Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS
1021 (effective l January 20191"
OBJECTIVES AND AcfiviTIES
Objectives and aims:
The object of the charity is to advance the Training of Disabled Children in Arts.
Thls is achieved through awarding funds to parents Of Other individual responsible for a physlcally
disabled chlld or an organisation which requires financial assistance to further the artlstic development
of disabled children.
The trustees have referred to the guidance contained In the Charlty Commlsslon's general guldance on
publlc beneflt when reviewing the alms and objectlves of The MFPA Fund for the Training of Disabled
Chlldren in the Arts and in planning its future activities.
Donation making policy
The trustees have reviewed the policy with regard to donations made, as it was felt that due to the
increasing amount held within the accounts, the parameters of support needed to be extended.
The trustees will, in f uture, consider repeat annual donations to the same applicants, where they are
continuing lessons or trainin8. The Trustees will also increase the amount funded to each group or
individual to £20,000.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitable activities:
In July 2024 the Trustees invested1£426,OOOlnc VAT) In a property Lord Rodney House, l Normandv
Street, Alton, Hampshire. It is the new official 'home' for our Charltable Trust Fund. Over three floors
the buildin8 hosts a gallery space (Freedom Through Expresslonl whlch the Trust hope5 to show work by
Young Disabled artists and other inspirational artlsts. So far, we have held by Treloar School and College,
Paisley Poyle the winner of The Unique Art Awards 2024, Barry West and other Mouth and Foot Painting
Artists Artwork.
On the first floor the Trustees have purchased framing equlpment whlch we are training two young neuro-
dlverse young men to use. Dillon and William will we hope be able to eventually, with our support, run
their own Framing Studio. This floor also houses a small office with computer, large format printer and
label printer which Dlllon and Will are being trained to use. At the moment the Trust is fundlng Russell,
a local Sculptor to teach the framers how to use the equipment. There is another larger room which we
are renting out for Art workshops for the local community. We have also run a sculpture Workshop for
The Green Room School, a school for excluded pupils, most of which have a statement. The top floor is
at present empty and we are actively looking for a company individual to rent the space.
The Trustees have asked three ladies to support our Trust Fund part time. Glynis Has been asked to act as
office Manager, she works in the Gallery two days a week and 'runs' the building, she also keeps the
accounts and deals with Zero accounting system. Catherine Cook works two days a week. she organises
the artwork in the gallery, supporting artists and or8anises the Unique Art Awards each year, organising
the entries and the finalists, she also takes care of the Social Media for UAA. She has supported the

awards from the start of the awards in 2016. Marina Zadorozhna is manning the Gallery on a Tuesday
and helping with short video's for Freedom Through Expression Facebook and Instagram posts.
The Trust Funds'unique Art Awards" which was completed again in 2024. It is a competition to find
youn8 disabled artists across the UK and recognise their hard work. In 2024 there were again, two age
groups 7-15 and 16-21, the awards were for 2D Art, 3D sculpture, photographyi performance and digital
art. It was again a great success.
The Trust Fund is still workin8 With a charity called Flat Spaces, a charitable trust which enables people
with severe disabilities to go on holiday with 'Access Assured,. The MFPA Trustees are funding some art
and muslc therapy workshops for Indlviduals and organisations at Flat Space in Hampshire, Other
organisations receiving financial help from MFPA Trust Fund also include Treloar Trust, Holybourne few.
Theatre, Happy Days Charity, The Royal Opera House, National Theatre to name a few.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Investments
Wlckham Avenue the trust Investment rental property in Bexhill-on-sea still accommodates tenants in
the Shop (Tailor) and the three flats above. The tenants are the same as when Trust took over the
property in October 2023. The Trustees have invested into the property by getting the building up to
good standard. Work on the windows and exterior damp was completed this year.
The Trustees have decided to keep the rental rate as low as possible to help the tenants, two flats are
occupied by care workers on a minimal wa8e.
Work wlll need to be completed in 2025 on the 8ara8e, 8round and top floor flats.
Review of activities and results
Flnancial results for the year are set out in the Statement of Financial Actlvitles on page 5 and the
positlon at the end of the year Is shown in the balance sheet on page 6.
Durin8 the year, there was a surplus of £463,96712024'. £301,082). The surplus Is higher than the previous year
because of an increase in donations and legacies received.
The charitable expenditure for year amounted to £101,28712024: £56,286).
The yearend cash balance was £2,000,145P12024: £1,976,302),

trustees and examiner under section 43<2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) and that an
independent examination is needed.

examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act,
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the
Charity Commission (under section 43{7)(b) of the 1993 Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given
examinerfs statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the
accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the
trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true
and fair, view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the
statement below.
