£4,744).

The income for the year w8s signlflcantly above all previous y88rs with a total of £82,024 havlng
been received during the year12023: £8,350). This was almost entirely due to a single grant of
280,000 received from the Southern Counties Hockey AssocI8tion. This was received following
the reorganl88tlon of regional hockay by England Hockey, and the winding up of the old regional
authorities. As a result, the net 88sets of the Trust increased to £103,38812023: 229,3311.

Governlng document
The Hockey Youth Trust is constituted byTrust Deeds dated 4th October 1988 and 3° July 2017.
The funds ofthe Trust 8reto be applied in encouraging pupils at schools and students in higher
education to p18y hockey by providing sporting equlpment to enable them to do so. The Trust Is
approved by the Charity Commlsslon and the registered number is 328079.
Organlsatlon
The number of Trustees shall not be less than three. The names of any new Trustees are to be
recommended by one or more of the exlstlng Trustees and appolnted bythe remaining Trustees.
Risk Management
The Trustees have consid8red the major risks to which the Charity 18 exposed and review their
Investment decisions accordingly. Steps are in hand to place funds on Deposit with CCLA to
achieve 8 more satisfactory return on investments above current clearlng bank interest rates.
