Existing Iru51ee6 brief new trustees on the Charity's aims and objeelive8. They are given a copy of the
Declaration of Tru51 along with tha lale81 financlal statements. They are also given literature about the Charity
and a copy of the Chanty Commi8sion's gU￿alIneS for Tru8lees, which will help them fulfil Ihelr rola in ling with
charlly law.
The Iruslees review the Strategic 8clivitie8 and financlal positlon of 81 Ils regular board meetings. They consider
polonlial risks lop which the charity is exposed. As part of Ihls process, the Iruslees have implemented a risk
management stralègy whlch comprises on annual review of the risk5 which the charity may lace and the
88lablishment of system8 and procedur05 to miligale those risks identified in the plan and the implementation of
procedures designed lo minimise any potential impact on the charity should those risk5 materialise.
The Tru8te8s have assessed the major ri8k8 to whlch the charrf(y Is expo8ad. in partlcul8r Ih08e rel8ted lo the
operations and finances of the ch8rKy. and arè satisfied that systems and procgdure$ are in place lo miligale our
exposure lo the major risk&.
In 8ccordance with the Trust deod, the trustees have the power to inve81 in Such 88sels as they See fil. The
Charity has a policy of keeping surplus liquSd funds In short temi deposrt8. This low r18k Inve81ment policy
provided the flexibility in making charrtable 9ranls and ensures the charfly has ad8qU818 fundg 10 rneet ongoing
grant commilmenls and adminislralion cos15 in accordance with ils reserves policy.

Achievements and perfomiance
The Income for the Charity for the period under review was £45,307 12022.. £97,902) and the expenditure in the

The Iruslees are grateful to all donors for their conlribulion8 to tha Charity during the year and their
continued support in the future.
During the year, unlisted investments was sold which generated a gain of £1,061,02512022'. £nil

Fundralsing
During the year the Charity didn't carry out any fundraising activities and all the Income wa3 generated from
voluntary donations and proce8ds from the Sale of unlisted Investment.

a. Golng concern
After making appropriate enquiri95, the Tru81ee8 have a re88onabl8 expectation that the Charity ha8 adequate
resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable lulure. For this reason. they continue to adopt
the going concern basis in preparing the financial 5talemenls. Further details regardin9 the adoption of the going
concem basis can be lound in the accounting policies.

The trustee8 have adopted a roserves policy whereby sufficient cash reseNes are held lo cover future

c. Rlsk Managemènt
The Tru81ee8 hove a5Se8sed the major risks to which the charity is exposgd, in particular Ihoso rg18lod lo the
operations and finances of the charrty, and are satisfied that system¥ and procedures are in place lo mi119ale our
exposure lo the major ri8k8.
In accordance with the tru51 deed, the Iruslees have the power lo Invest in 8uch assets as they see fit. The
Charity ha5 a policy of keeping surplus liquid funds in short temi deposits. This low risk investment policy
provided the flexibility in making charitable grants and ensures the charity has adequate funds lo meet ongoing
grant commitments and administration costs in accordance with ils reserves policy.
Inygstment Pollcy
The Charity holds inveslmenty in order to generate returns to help its charrtable objectives and to fund future
projects. The Iruslees adopt o prudent investment policy lo ensure potential returns are well balanced with the
appropriate levels of risk.

The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 102)
Accounting and Reporting by Charities. Statement of Recommended Practice 8pplicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance wrth the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
8nd Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffeclive 1 January 201gi, the Financial Reporting Stsndard
applicable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charitie$ Act 2011.
The financi81 statements have beon prepared to give a 'lrue and fairf view and hove departed from
the Charities (Accounts and Report8} Regulations 2008 only lo the extent required lo provide a 'lrue
and fairf view. This departure has invofved following the Charitie8 SORP IFRS 1021 published in
October 2019 rather Ih8n the Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended

All income is recognised once thé Charity has entillemenl lo the income, it is probable that the
Income will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
The recognition of income from legacies is dependent on est8bliBhing enlitlemenl, the probability of
receipt and the ability to 86tim8le ￿th sufficient ac¢uracy Ihg amount receivable. Evidence of
enlillemenl lo a legacy exists when the Charity has sufficient evidence that a gift has begn loft 10

1.3 Exponditure
Expendrture is recogni3ed once theTe is 2 legal or construdive obligation to transfer economic benefit

the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expendllure is classthed by activity. The costs
of each activity are made up of the lolal of direct costs and shared costs, including support Costs
involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable lo a single 8clivily are allocated directly
lo that activity. Shared costs which contribute lo more than one 3rlivity and support costs which are
not attributable to a Single adivity are apportioned between Ih05e activities on a basis consistent with
the use of resources. Centr81 staff Costs are allocated on the basis of time spent, and depreciation
charges allocated on the PDrtion of the a8set's use.
Expenditure on charitable 8CtNities is incurred on directty undertaking the activities which further the
Charills objectives, as well as any associated support costs.

the effect of the time value of money is material, the provision is based on the present value of Ih08e

unwinding of the di8counl 18 recognised in the Statement of Financial Acliwiies as a finance co81.
1.8 Flnanclal instruments
The Charity On￿ has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as b81ic financial
instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised al transaction value and subsequently
measured al their settlement value wth the exception of bank loans which are subsequently
measured al amortlsed cost using the effective interest method.
