The LHT exists to awaken and improve public appreciation of Britain's architectural heritage; to support the restoration of the buildings and landscapes of Benjamin Henry Latrobe, and to make them available to the public where possible; to encourage academic research into his work; to promote high standards of building and landscape conservation, and to save them from destruction or disfigurement.

Objects: (a) To Awaken Public Interest In And Public Appreciation Of Britains Architectural Heritage. (b) To Encourage The Study Of That Heritage And Related Matters And In Particular But Without Prejudice To The Foregoing The Architectural And Engineering Works Of Benjamin Henry Latrobe. (c) To Promote High Standards Of Architectural Conservation And Restoration. (d) To Save From Needless Destruction Or Disfigurement Buildings Or Groups Of Buildings And Designed Landscapes Of Special Historic Or Architectural Interest. (for Further Details See Clause 4).
