Broomhead Charitable Trust)18 a registered charity, number 327280. It wa8 established for an elghty
year trust perlod by a deed dated 14 Odober 1986 a8 varled by a ￿heme of 12 September 1989 and
by Resolutlon$ dated 11 December 19￿, 21 September 2000, 21 April 2005 and 27 September 2006
(the date of the resolullon changlng the name of the Cherity to The DLA Plper Charltable Trust), The
reglstered office for the Tru8t18 Shown on page 1.
Th6 financial Btalemenls comply with the governlng documgnts, statutory requirements and the
requlrements of the Charllle8' Sta16menl of Racommended Practlce (SORP) 2019. They have been
prepared In &cordance with the accounting pollcSe8 set out on page8 11 and 12.

contacts it maintains through the Secretary and through the member8 and staff of DLA Plper Continues
to supply a good flow of appllc8tbn8 but the Tru8teeB continue to work et developlng the effectivene88
and reach of the Charlly'8 grant maklng programme8.
The Secretary contlnued her118lson with the Corporate Respon8lbllily (CR) department of DLA PIp8r
80 as lo be aware of any opportunitles for grant making that might arlse from inltlative8 wlthin that
organi88tlon.
The conllnulng use of the matched funding and one-off award8 In response to appllc8tlon8 from DLA
Piper 818ff is a successful feature of the grant making.

The Trustees have considered the public benefit guldance188ued by the Charity Comm188ion, 1118

donallon8. Funds are held In an Interest-bearlng 8ccounl. The Trust doe8 not acllv8ly fundra18e and
seeks to conllnue Ils work through the careful stewardship of Its Income.
Total Incom8 lor the year wa8 £130,098 (2023., £94,042). A donatlon of £75,000 from DLI Plper LLP
was recefved 2023., £50.000) Income I￿ the year also Included £34,8QM) donated 8ervlce8 (2023:
£31,080) and £1,548 Inler88t (2023.. £462). Glft Ald of £16,260 recorded In the 2021 account8, and
£12.5cLI recorded In 2023 accounts are 8tiii to be clalm8d. Gift Ald for 2024 18 £18,750, totdlllng

Expendlture for the year totalled £94,388 of whlch £59.528 w88 grant8 (2023.. £68,848), £34,800 w88
