The Power of appointing the Fund Trustees (of which there shall be not less than 3 at any one time) shall be vested In the Council for the time being (excluding any retiring Trustees) and a new Trustee may be appointed by the majority decision of the Council from the current members of the Association and whenever a Trustee is appointed a memorandum of his appointment shall be issued and signed and sealed by the person presiding at such meeting and attested by two other persons present there at. |

The day to day affairs of the Association shall be conducted by the President, Two Vice Presidents, General Secretary, a Treasurer, Joint Secretary and eight ordinary members one of whom shall be a junior doctor, or a senior medical student (collectively known to the Council).

The President and the General Secretary shall hold office for a term of three years, but can be re-elected for another term.

The Charity’s office bearers other than the President and General Secretary shall hold for a term of three years and may stand for another term.

The posts of Social Secretary and Information Secretary shall be by nomination, dually nominated by the President and the General Secretary.

The Council shall have powers to co-opt not more than three Members to the Association, who shall serve until the next Election of the office bearers.

A Casual vacancy on the Council shall be filled at a Meeting of the Council; the member so elected shall serve until the expiry of his predecessor’s term of office
Election and Admission of Members

New Elections date will be announced by President in ordinary meeting in consultation with council before completion of their tenure (three year) in ordinary meeting. Three members will be proposed for conducting Election, called Election Commission.

Only ordinary members who had subscribed membership fees can vote and contest Election.

All elections of members shall take place at ordinary meetings of the Association or by postal ballot and the votes of three-fourths of the Members voting shall be necessary to ensure election.

Every candidate for election shall be proposed in Writing by at least members who have paid all subscriptions. Only ordinary members will have a right to vote.
Election of officers and council

All officers shall be elected every three yearly except information and Social Secretary.

The Council each year shall propose names for honorary membership and send a list of such names to all members four weeks before the Annual General Meeting.

All proposals for office bearers shall be sent dually proposed and seconded to the General Secretary atleast two weeks before the elections which will be held at the Annual General Meeting.

The proposer, seconder and the nominee must have cleared all their dues at the time of filing the nomination.

Before proceeding to the election of Officers and members of the Council, two Returning Officers shall be appointed to superintend the ballot.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 31 / 03 / 2023 .
Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent [The charity’s gross income exceeded £25,000 and I am qualified to
examiner's statement undertake the examination by being a qualified member of Institute of Financial Accountants.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
