Activities

The charity aims to distribute grants primarily to those organisations that the board of trustees decide are in line with the objects of the charity.

Objects: (A) The relief of need, hardship or distress of regular and reservist personnel of the Royal Navy and the naval services generally, their families and dependants to include making grants to welfare and other organisations who support them. (B) To advance in life and help young people living in the United Kingdom by supporting charitable organisations that provide opportunities and assistance for young people, including (a) through leisure time activities and (b) by facilitating and providing development of their skills to improve their conditions in life and develop their capabilities, that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. (C) To assist those who, through their social and economic circumstances, are in financial hardship or are marginalised or disadvantaged, in particular by making grants to charitable organisations providing support and relief from hardship in the United Kingdom. (D) For the public benefit to promote the education of young people in such ways as the trustees think fit, including by assisting any charity in the United Kingdom whose aims include advancing education of persons by developing their mental, physical and moral capabilities through educational or vocational or leisure time activities. (E) To provide funding or grants to any such other charitable purposes for the benefit of the public at the discretion of the trustees.
