THE RON & LYN PEET TRUST
Report for the year ended 31[st] December 2025
The charity continues to make donations and grants to other charities and voluntary bodies associated with arts and culture, but also to religious organisations and organisations supporting poverty relief and health charities. Donations were made with due regard to the Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance.
A conscious effort is again being made to reduce the income below the £25,000 threshold for an independent examiner’s report, so donations were again higher than usual this year to reduce the balance held in the deposit account.
Donations for the year totalled £43,000 of which over half was for arts charities. The donations were as follows:
| ARTS Haslemere Music Society Watts Gallery National Opera Studio Scottish Opera Glyndebourne GENERAL Cancer Research UK Samaritans St Mungo’s The Simon Community Friends of the Elderly Shelter Glass Door Homeless Charity Crisis Sightsavers Anthony Nolan Trust Alzheimer’s Research UK British Heart Foundation |

At the end of the year, the Trust Fund amounted to £216,300.
Investments are shown in the balance sheet at cost. The corresponding market value at 31 December 2025 was £371,653. During the year, M&G closed Charibond as an investment, and the units in this were consequently converted to Charifund. The financial report shows two lines for Charifund units to reflect the different purchase dates (and so nominal “book value”). There were no changes to the Trustees during the year.
