Object is to advance the education of the public by promoting the art of Directing in any medium, by providing information on the process of Direction, by bringng Directors together to discuss their work with the public, by providing information on present and past Directors and promoting their work, by celebrating the work of Directors with plaques and awards, by co-operating with similar bodies.
Objects: (A) To Advance The Education Of The Public By The Encouragement Of The Arts Particularly Those Practised By And Resulting From The Activitesof Directors And Other Persons With Similar Responsibilites Having Creative Charge Of Units Or Sub-Units Of Production In Every Activity Involving The Creative Process Or Artistic Endeavour. (B) To Promote Any Related Charitable Purpose Including The Arrangement And Encouragement Of Co-Operation With The Between Public And Local Authorities And Charitable Organisations And National And International Organisations With Similar Objects Or Objects Affecting The Said Directors. (C) To Relieve Poverty And Sickness Among Those Engaged In The Arts And Particularly Among The Said Directors Their Dependants And Realatives
