working for improvement of British Music Education using the voice as the main instrument, through courses, workshops and demonstrations, for teachers and other adults who work with children or adults or who wish to improve their own musicianship. Major activities include the annual Summer School, Spring Course, and certified training for teachers' professional development.

Objects: The Charity's Objects Arethe Objects Of The Academy Shall Be To Promote The Advancement Of Musical Education In Accordance With Principles And Practices As Taught By Zoltan Kodály. In Furtherance Of The Objects The Academy Shall Seek:1 To Disseminate Such Principles And Practices As Taught By Zoltan Kodály;2 To Promote Understanding And Knowledge Of Such Principles And Practices By Means Of Conferences, Courses And Publications;3 To Assist Local Education Authorities, Organisations And Individuals With The Provision Of Music Education; And4 To Develop And Maintain Relationships Of Mutual Support And Collaboration, Through Affiliation To The International Kodály Society And Appropriate Links With Any Other Organization Having Similar Objects In The United Kingdom Or Abroad, For The Wider Appreciation And Application Of Kodály Principles And Practice.
