THE HARVEST CHARITABLE TRUST ANNUAL REPORT 2023124 The Trust¢es have made both regular and one-off payments to a vari¢ty of organisations within the Main Objects of th¢ Charity. The Trustees confinn that they have paid due regard to the Guidance issued by the Charity Commission on Public Benefit. The Trustees also confimi that they have reviewed their internal financial controls. The income of the Charity of £237,822.76 represented a v¢ry significant increase on the Previous year's income (£9,004). Grants made over the year, of £66,366.27, were correspondingly higher than the previous year's total (of £12,435). Having invested £150,000 in a Ruffer charitable fund, the Charity ended the year with cash at bank of £21.931.53 (as against £486.54 at 31 March 2023). There was an approximate 19181 split between grants within the UK and grants overseas, as against 55145 in 2022123. The split between the two Main Objects of the Advancement of Christian Faith and the Relief of Povety and Other Need was 14186 (2022123: 28172). The range of recipients for grants reflects the personal interests and experience of the Charity's founder MCA Hutton and his wife Mrs AEC Hutton. The Trustees airn to hold income reserves of at least £3,000, as more or less sufficient to meet cornmitments for at l¢ast the following three months, which was more than satisfied at the end of 2022123. The major source of funds was MCA Hutton. Being a (hitherto) small family Charity with no pernianent endowment, the assets of the Charity have since its forn]ation in 1982 been represented by cash at Barclays Bank PIC in Norwich. That said, the Charlty has received three exceptional donations during 2023124, as noted in the Minutes of the Trustees, Meeting on 30 August 2023. And accordingly the Truste¢s have invested £150,000 in units in the Ruffer LLP Charitable Fund, for drawdown over (as envisaged) 2025126, 2026127 and 2027128. Matthew Hutton, Trustee IAugust 2024

September 2024 The Harvest Charftabl Trust: charl number 326159 I have examlned the accounts and papers presented to me and can confirm that these are in accordance therewith. I note that three donations were made via Crown FM and one via RD Hutton & Partners with the charity reimbursin8. There are consequently no banking detalls to support this. I would recommend that if this process is repeated, that a receipt or proof of bank transfer to the final reciplent Is retained by the charlty for the completeness of records. l am aware that Gift Aid claims for the last three years are currently being submltted. I have no concerns regarding the charity or its admlnlstration. Susan Stapleford Pink BSC Ihonsl FCMA CGMA
