TREASURER'S REPORT
ST THOMAS MORE SCHOOL A&SOCIATION
FOR YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2020
First of all, I would like to thank our new Chair. Frances Rattl8a￿ and all Cotrmittee
Members for their contribution to the School A&80ciation during the last year.
We opened the year with a healthy current bank account balance of12,266.93. Our ongoing
fund raising schemes have raised the following amounts:
Cinema Club £369
100 Club £585
Netball Club £490
Supermarket Vouchern £951
Running Club £147
Easy Fundraising £81
Amazon Smile £79
As always many thanks to:
Clare Trowbridge for numing the 100 Club
Jo Cosgrove and Sandra Kear for running the $upennarket voucher scheme so
successfully
Caroline Cartwright, Colleen Duggan and their teams for making the Cinema Club an
outstanding fundraising event (always so popular with the children)
And at lasl but not least Mrs Thomas for her hard work and giving her spare time to
the Netball team over all her year5 at th¢ school not to mention all the myriad other
tssks she wfornL9 for the S¢hool Association during her tin* at St Thomas Mor¢.
The year started extremely well, unfortunatsly th¢ Covid.19 p￿￿emie struck balfway
through. This mad¢ fundraisin8 for the latter wt of the year extremely difficult. However.
before Covid hit we enjoyed lots of fim events and fundraising.. the Christmas Bazaar earned
us £3,210, due to the tireless efforts of Nicol¢ Brandwood, Natssha Brine and their teams of
elves; our fabulous Quiz Nigbt raised £511. Reb￿Ca Griifiths organised a school cookbook
that rais¢d £321.
Our other Christmas events were also very $u¢cessful;

Grateful thanks to Natasha Brin¢ Colleen Dugw Prad S8mtsni and their helpers for their
generosity in organising these events- and the many people who attended and made them
such a S￿¢¢sS.
So. despite Covid ￿other very busy 8nd successful year has gone by and I am delightsd to
rey)rt that the totsl funds raised this year were £10.752.35 which is astonishing coD8idering
we only fundraised for half the year.
As always a sincere thanks to all the Class Reps who managed to convince parents and
carers to help on the day of the events and to all th08e involved in nmning and organising
The totsl amouni donated to the school was £8,860.54, leavin8 £14,158.74 to carry foThvard
for future us¢. A full breakdown is outlined in the accounts which a￿oMpanY this rep)rt.
I can report a closing r¢¢onciled cash balance for the end of Au8USt 2017 of £14.167.76.

I have reviewed the flnancial statements and accounts for the St Thomas More
School Association for the year ended 31 August 2020 and find they fairly
represent in all material respects the financial posltlon of the assoclation at
that date. I have reviewed the cash position and the yearfs accounting
transactlons all of whlch are completely satisfactory.
I would Ilke to commend the assoclatlon'5 treasurer on the detslled and fully
documented accounts.
