Financial Review
----- Start of picture text -----
Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 The Charity made a good profit for the year
financial position at the end and held a substantial amount in the bank
of the period at year end.
Statement explaining the Para 1.22 In September 2021 both schools were
policy for holding reserves allocated a sum based on the money raised
stating why they are held in the 2020/21 school year. Rather than
distribute a lump sum at the start of the
year, a new process was put in place
whereby the schools must request the
amount they wish to spend on each project.
Following approval by the trustees, the
school then raises an invoice to the PTA for
payment. Due to delayed projects, neither
school spent their full allocation and this
was carried forward for spend in the
2022/23 year along with money raised in
the 2021/22 school year.
Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 Cash in the bank at 31 [st] August 2022 was
£51,645.75.

I report to the trustees on my examination of Grove Schools Parent Teacher Association accounts for the year ended 31[st] August 2022.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 Section 132.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under Section 145 of the 2011 Act.
I am a not a qualified accountant. I have been asked by the trustees to review the accounts as per the directions given under Section 145(1)(a) of the Act.

Independent Examiner’s Statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
-
Accounting records were not kept in respect of the trust as required by Section 130 of the Act, or
-
The accounts do not accord with those records, or
-
The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Account and Reports) Regulations 2008 (other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination).
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report; in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
