**Activities:** The Society seeks to advance public education by furthering the study of Italy and Italian language and culture through its publications (the journal Italian Studies), conferences (a biennial residential conference, a smaller, themed event in alternate years, an annual postgraduate colloquium), research fund, student bursaries, and financial support for events organized by members of the Society.
