During the Lenl Term, the APA organised a Pizza and Cookle Experlence at home wilh a variety of baklng talent on display. We celebrated Alpha's World Book Day with the theme of 'Characters from around the World, and our Book Fair sales tota118d £1,173, providing the school with £586 in free books. which made their way on to classroom and library shelves. A wonderful inaugural P8rformance Evenlng was held at Trinity Church to parents of children from Years 3 10 6 with a range of instrumental and vocal talents shared. Chlldren In Years 1 and 2 saw the musical 'Frozen' on the West End and Year 4 saw 'Matilda' and took part in a drama workshop. Amongst other Irlps, the children visited the Natural History Museum to explore rock fofftialions and dinosaur fossils. delved into WWII debreakers. Solving codes and ciphers in an interactive workshop al Bletchley Park and visited Bushy United Synagogue.

Rubik's Cube Club and Art Club. some of which were run by our own Year 6s. Chamber Choir and Ensemble Band continued along with LAMDA, Judo, Musical Theatre, Chess and many more. Apart from reinforclng the importanc8 of a healthy lifestyle, Sports Clubs continued to offer the Positive impact of exercise on b)Ih physical and mental h8allh, which tie8 in with the school's increasing wellbeing provision. On8 of the real benefits of the U9 and U11 Sport$ Clubs, In partlcular. Is that the$8 clubs offer a different sport each half term In order for chlldren to try less malnslream sports such as handball and volleyball, as well as basketball and unShoc, alongsld6 the more mass-partklpallon sports of foolball and ¢rl¢kel, whl¢h are also provided. In terms of $laffing within tha PE department, this academic year saw us strengthen our Alpha team considerably. Along with Mr Holland and Mrs Barbara Moran {who has helped leach our Monday moming swim programme for a number of years). Ms Madan Ardeslani lolned us al the siart of lh8 academic year as our olher r8gular swirnmlng instructor. Thls has helped ensure that we are able to continue lo offer all pupils from Y8ar$ 1 to 6 swimming lessons throughout Ihe year. the benefits of which were clear to se8 when we more than hald our own at two annual swlm galas, In January and May. Mr Kanvar also joined Alpha as a valuable member ol our sports afternoon team at the start of the summer term.
