How we raise money
Fundraising Events
The events and activities we arrange are not simply focussed on fundraising. We also focus on fun for the children, relationship building and providing opportunities to learn about the school and the community it serves. Events we have organised in 2022 are:
-
Fun Run - sponsored event involving all school children
-
Quiz and Chips - parents morale-boosting event
-
Winter and Summer Fairs - these two fairs are a staple event on the school’s calendar, run by the Friends
-
Spring Disco – very popular with the children and well organised event
-
Easter Bonnet Parade – raised £800 for Choose Love charity
-
Open Afternoon to celebrate Ofsted report – raised over £300 for the Friends from coffee shop and uniform sales
-
Garden transformation teams meet monthly to tend to the new garden space
Online Shopping
We also raise money by encouraging friends, parents and carers to shop online with Easy Fundraiser.
Sponsorships / Grants
We are building a Sponsorship, Grants & Donations team.
Donations
All donations are gratefully received. Anyone wishing to donate a single or monthly amount can set up a standing order to our account.
Recruiting
The Friends are always grateful for new parents and carers stepping forward to ask about volunteering to help with our work. We rely on them for the more time-consuming activities like helping to plan events, and the less time-consuming things like donations to cake sales, or helping to run events on the day.
There are a number of opportunities to meet Friends and find out about becoming part of our volunteer teams.
