The objective of the Foundation as set out in a Trust Deed dated 25th May 1965, is the financial

The charity alms to dlstribute its income each year In the form of grants subjecl to the re¢eipl of suitable
grant appllcatlons. Undlstributed income is carried forward to the following year. To the extent
that the charlty Is left with undistributed income, such Income may be invested and treated as part of
the res8￿eS of the organlsation.
The charlty alms lo maintain its capital reserves so that its Income generated from investments
available for dlstrlbution is not diminished.
Investment powerss pollcy and asselg
The assets of the Foundation comprise quoted investments and authorised unit Irusts with a market
value at 310ecember 2024 of £453,023. The inveslments are intended to provide a balanced mlx of
Income and capital growth.
The trustees take periodic professional advi￿ and keèp the performance of its inveslmenls under constant
review.
In additlon, the Foundation owns a playing field of approximately three acres let to 8rislol University.
TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT
Charlty law requlres Ihe Truslees to prepare accounts for each financlal year which give a true and fair vlew of the state of
affairs of the charlty and of its income and expenditure for that period. In preparing the attached accounts the Truslees

made judgements and estlmales that are reasonable and prudent.
stated whether applicable accountlng standards have been followed, subject to any
material departures disclosed and explanations in the accounts; and

The Trustees have responsibility for maintaining proper accounting records which dlsclose with reasonable accuracy at
anytime the financial position of Ihe charity and enable it lo ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities
Act. They also have responsibility for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps lo
prevent and detect fraud and other irregularilies.

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 December 2024, which are set out on pages 7 to 11.
Respective responslbllltles of trustees and examlners
The charity's Iruslees are responsible lor the preparation of the accounts. The charlly's Irustees consider that an audit is
not required for this year (under sectlon 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 1 the 2011 Act) and that an independent
examination is needed.

Basls of Independent examlner's report
My examlnation was carried out in accordance wllh the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented
with those records. 11 also includes consideralion of any unusual terms or disclosures In the accounts and seeking
explanations from you as Iruslees concerning any such mallers. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the
evidence that would be required Sn an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts present a
'Irue and falr view, and the report is limited to those matters sel out in the next statement.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of Accountin
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordance with Statement of Recommended Practice..
Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing Iheir accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) issued on 16 July 2014 and the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102} and the Charitles Act 2011.
Stokes Crofl Educational Foundation meets the definition of a public benefit enlily under FRS102. Assets and
liabilities are Initially recognlsed al historical cost or transaction value unless Othe￿Ise staled in the relevant
accounting policy notes.
Investments
Investments are a form of basic financial Instrument and are initially recognised al their transaction value and
subsequently measured at their fair value as al the balance sheet date using the closing quoted market price.
The statement of activities Includes the net gains and losses arising on revaluation and disposals throughout
the year.
All gains and losses are taken to the Statement of Financlal Activities as they arise. Realised gains and
losses on investments are calculated as the difference between sales proceeds and their opening carrying
value or their purchase value. Unrealised gains and losses are calculated as the difference between the falr
value at the year end and their carrying value.
Income Reco
nition
All Incoming resources are included In the statement of financial activities when the charity is entitled to the
income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The following specific policies are
applied to particular categories of income..
Voluntary income is recelved by way of granls, donations and gifls and is included in full in the Statement of
Financial Activities when receivable. Grants, where enlitlemenl is not conditional on the delivery ol a specific
performance by the charity, are recognised when the charlly becomes unconditionally entitled lo the grant.
Investment income is included when receivable.
Incoming resources from charitable trading activity are accounted for when earned,
Incoming resource5 from grants, where related lo performance and specific deliverables, are accounted for
as the charity earns the right to consideration by ils performance.
Other income represents rental income in respect of pitch hire.

nltion
Expenditure Is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any VAT which
cannot be fully recovered, and is reported as part of the expenditure to which11 relates.
Charitable expenditure comprises those costs Sncurred by the charity in the delivery of its activilles and
services for its beneficiaries. 11 includes bolh costs that can be allocated directly to such activities and those
costs of an indirect nature necessary to support them.
