Trust deed The Richard Porters School Foundatlon was establlshed by the Board of Education Act 1899, as varied by Schemes dated 3trh August I6, 26, August 1921 and 3tr May 1963 and was registered with the Charity Commission on I" October 1964 IReglstered number 3116021 Trustees responsibilities The Trustees are required to prepare financial statements for each financlal year whSch glve a true and falr vSew of the stste of affalrs of the charlty and of the Incomlng resource5 and appllcatlon of resources durlng the year and of Its state of affalrs at the end of the year. They are also responsible for safe8uardlng the assets of the charlty and hence for taklng reasonable steps for the preventlon and detectlon of fraud and breaches of law and regulatlons. The Trustees are invlted to nominate replacements when vacancles occur and these are dlscussed and approved at approprlately convened meetlngs of all trustee& New Trustees are briefed on thelr obligatlons under charlty law and ppralsed of the organlsatlon and structure of the charlty. Trustees are encouraged to attend approprlate external tralnlng events where these VAII facilltate the undertakln8 of their role. The Trustees have a rlsk mana8ernent strategy comprlslng a regular revlew of the rfsks the charlty may face and procedures to mltl8ate those rlsks. Revlew of 2023 artA niitlebr•lt th th• hitiir• The Rithard Porters School Foundation has had an unusual year on the finanaal side in that the value of its investments increased by £213,031 following the deficit of £272,433 in the yearto 31 December 2022. In June 2023 the Trustees gave Scholars in Year 6 £250 each towards uniforms for their new schools and provided funds of £5,000 for the Primary School.

Benefiaaries included Scholars in Years 12 and 13, College Students and Apprentices {£500 each) and Students at Universities l£l,fX)O each). Reserves The resepies of the Charity are held to provide assistance in accordance with the Charitvs objectives. Independent Examinerfs report to the Trustees of Richard Porters School Foundation For the year ended 31 December 2023 I report to the trustees on the accounts of the Charity which are set out on pages 6 to 9. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Act,) I report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all of the applicable direttions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5){bl of the Act. Independent examlnerfs statement I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe in any material respect: l. accounting records were not kept as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports> Regulations 2008 otherthan any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Accountlng pollcles Accounting convention The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and are in accordance with applicable accounting standards and the Charities Accounting Statement of Recommended Practice ISORP FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011. There have been no changes in the accounting poliaes. Investments Investments are started at market value at the balance sheet date. The Statement of Financlal Activities includes the net gains and losses on revaluation. Flxed assets Fixed assets include two areas of land which were revalued by the Trustees as at 31 December 2016. No depreciation has been thar8ed on freehold land. Incomlng resources All incoming resources are recognised once the Chartty has entitlement to them, it Is certain that they will be received and the monetary value can be measured with suffiaent reliability. Resources expended Liabilities are reco8nised as resources expended as soon as there is a legal or con5tructlve obllgation committing the Charityto the expenditure. All expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been dassified under the appropriate headings. Grants are awarded to students and individuals under the age of twenty-five to furthertheir education, as well as supporting the local primary school with additional benefits not normally provided by the education authorities. 2. The Trustees have revalued this land at £400,000 of which the Richard Porters School Foundation holds 25%, valued at £IOO,OIJ). The Trustees have, for the purpose of these accounts, valued the remaining school site land at £25,000. No depreciation is charged on these areas of freehold land. Rental from these two parcels of land and the powerline wayleave is divided, after attributable costs, in the proportion of 75% towards Richard Porters Charity and 25% towards Richard Porters School Foundation.
