REPORT- for the year ended 31 August 2025 The Trustees present their Annual Report, together with the accounts of the Friends of Dr. Challoner's Grammar School for the year ended 31 August 2025. Background and Scope The Friends is an unincorporated association, which is registered with the Charity Commission, Charity Number 310621. The Friends provide financial assistance with the cost of the educational facilities prowded by Dr. Challoner's Grammar School, Amersham. Financial Review of the Year The financial activities are summarised on page 7 of the accounts. During the year, the income of the Friends was £53,345 of which £53,195 was generated by charff(able and fundraising activities and £150 received as donations. Future Plans The Friends will continue to raise funds for the school and assist wrth the cost of capital projects. Organlsatlon All decisions affecting the management of Ihe Friends are taken by the Committee, who meet on a regular basis. Appolntment of Trustees All members of the Committee are Trustees of the charity and have control of the Friends, its property and funds. Committee membersrrrustees shall be elected at the AGM and shall hold Offi until the next AGM. All committee membersffruslees, except those who are co- opted, must be members of the Friends. Committee membersrrrustees shall have the power to co-opt committee membersrrrustees at any time, and co-opted committee membersrrrustees shall serve until the date of the next AGM. The number of co-opted committee membersiTrustees must not be more than 50% of the total number of committee membersiTrustees.

REPORT - for the year ended 31 August 2025 (continued) Stslement of Trustees, Responsibilities The Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts for each financial year which show the charity's incoming resources and application of resources during the year and of its state of affairs at the end of the year. In preparing those accounts. the Trustees are required to: select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently., make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; state whether recommended practice has been followed. subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the accounts. and prepare the accounts on the going concem basis, unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charty will conlinue in operation. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial posilion of the charity and enable Ihem to ensure that the accounls comply wtth Ihe Charities Act 1993 as amended by the Charities Act 2008. They are also responsible for safeguarding the charity's assets and hence, for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. FRIENDS OF DR. CHALLONER'S GRAMMAR SCHOOL INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT This report refers to the accounts for the year ended 31 August 2025 which are set out on pages 7 and 8. Rospective Responslblllties of Trustees and Examlners The charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's Trustees consider that an audtt is nol required for this year under section 43{2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Acl) and that an independent examination is needed. It is our responsibilty to: (1) (2) examine the accounts under Section 43 01 the 1993 Act; to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 43{7)(b) of the 1993 Act., and to state whether particular mallers have come to our attention. (3) Basi8 of Independent Examiner's Report The examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charty Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charrty and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual ilems or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the Trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the eviden that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair. view and the report is limited to those matters sel out in the statements below. Independent Examiner's Statement In connection wrth the examination, no matter has come to our attention: {1) which gives us reasonable (xuse to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements lo keep accounting records in accordance with Section 41 of the 1993 Act; and to prepare accounts which accord wtth the accounting records and comply with the accounling requirements of the 1993 Act have not been met, or to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
