INDEPENDENT EXAMINER?S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF
KINGS CLIFFE SCHOOL FOUNDATION
I report on the Reo¢ipts and Paymeiits accounts of the Trust for the year ended 30 September 2024
which are set out on pages l and ?
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
Tlie cliarity's trustees are responsible for the preparatioii of the accounts. Tlie charity's trustees consider that
an audit is nor required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and tliat
an independeiit exainination is needed.
It is my responsibility to,.
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act.
to follow the procedures laid down in tlie general Directions giv¢n by the Charity Commissioii under
section 145(5)(b) of tlie 201 l Act. and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
My e.Kam inatioii was ¢arried out in accordaiice with the general Directions given by tlie Charity
Cominissioi?. An examination includes a review of the accouiiting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with tliose records. It also i11cludes considerdtion of any unusual items
or disclosures in tlie accounts, and seekiiig explanations from you as trustees concerning any sucli matters.
Tlie procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether tl)e accounts present a 'true and fair view 8nd the report is
limited to those matters set out in the stateinent below.
Independent examiner's statement
In coniiectioii with Iny examination, no iTJatter has come to Tny atteiition..
(l) which gives rne reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance witli section 130 of the 2011 Act- and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records aiid coinply with th¢ accounting
requirements of the ?01 l Act
have not been met. or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of
the accounts to be reached

Kings Cliffe Almshouse Charity and Endowed School Foundation
th
Chair Report for AGM 25 March 2025
Welcome to all and heartfelt thanks to all for their commitment to running these charities.
Almshouses
The tenants of the Almshouses have remained the same this year.
School House
This is still rented to the same tenants and managed by Richardsons.
Land Rents
These are managed by Richardsons. The new Lease for the land under the railway bridge has
been negotiated.
Finances
These are referred to in detail in the Treasurers report.
Rental Increase
Last year we increased the rent I contributions payable by 10 % following the advice from
Richardsons,. The leases for the Land rents have been recently renegotiated and the rental
payable is now set.
Education Foundation
During the year fifteen grant applications were received. As they were for a wide variety of
amounts, the Trustees decided to give each applicant £300 and these were paid out online using
the Lloyd's account. KCEPS had applied to the Foundation for support for the Year 6 trip coach
and a mental health Emotional Intelligence scheme which Trustees were delighted to support.
The reason for the damage caused by the heavy rain in 2023 is still being investigated.
Thanks
I would like to give my thanks to my fellow trustees for their advice and assistance this year. It has
been a pleasure to welcome two new trustees, Anna Meadows and Anne Wesley. However,
nothing would be possible without the dedication of our Clerk Reggie. I would like to thank her for
her advice, assistance and willingness to deal with every situation.
