Thetrusteespresenttheirreportwiththefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31December2021. The
trusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommended Practice
applicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableinthe UK
and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

## **`OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES`**
```
2021hasbeenaveryunusualyearasthecharityemergedpostpandemicwiththegovernmentrestrictions. Bookings
havebeenslowwithmanyhirerscommittinglastminutetohiresowingtotheuncertaintyaroundcovidrestrictions or
party guests becoming unwell.
```

Thecharitymovedawayfromsocialmediapromotionandstartedtopromoteitswebsitewithitsintegratedbooking tool.
Thishasledtomanyenquiriesandprivatepartybookings.Whilstthecommunitycentrewantstoengagemore with
regularcommunity-basedhiringactivitiesitwasimportantthattrusteesaccumulatedsignificantincomefrom private
parties in order to keep the centre running.

During2022weretainedthedaynursery,localscoutgroupbutweattractedtwonewregularhiresToughLove boxing
andaSaturdayMorningHIITclass.Alloftheregularhiresareseeinghighdemandforbookings.However, trustees
acknowledgethatmoremustbedonetopublicisethecentreanditslocationinordertoattractmoreusersand more
regular community based hirers.

Thecentrewasatbestduring2022halfoccupiedduringallavailabletimeslotsandthisissomethingthattrustees want
to increase. However, the centre was still covering its outgoings.
```

Thecentrewasfullyrepaintedinaccordancewithitslease,howevertherehasbeensignificantdamagetothe internal
doorsowingtoproblemswiththedoorsurfacesbeingscratchedanddamaged.Trusteeshaveworkedwiththe decorator
to resolve this issue but issues persist.
```

Thetrusteesareforwardlookingandhaveacknowledgedthatattentionneedstobemadetothebuildingssecurity and
fire alarm systems, and that we will need to embark on a refresh of the centre in the next few years.
```
```
Trusteenumbershavebeenstablefortheperiodandweareseeinglocalcommunitymembersexpressinganinterest in
working with the charity.
```

At the year end the charity had £33,853 in reserves (2020 : £44,278).
