Clingan's Trust has been eslablished since 1736. 11 is al present
governe(I by Ihe chani8b￿ scheme seaiea on ihe 15" March 1 ￿.
In its financial year ended December 2024, grants in excess of £89,000
were made to individuals. schools and organisations, £5.000 down from
the previou3 year.
The Irustees 8ndeavour to sUp￿rt young p80pla k)cally in helping them
to realise their educ£lional ambitions and potential, and to assist them in
their career choices. In ihat respect. granis have been made for a variety
of educational purposes including the provision of books, computers.
educational tnaterial, organised school trips. university and co15ege
expenses and help with apprenticeships.
The Trust has a long-standing repulalion within the trust area for helping
young people in education and especially those from poorer
backgrounds. It has a reputation for enhancing th8 lives and prospècts of
young people.

The Chanty has large capiiai reserves. The truslees seek to use all
available income whenever possible.
The trustees have regard to rnaintaining proper reSer￿S of income for
fulure need3. In particular. 30 a8 to ensure the reserves are sufficient to
meet the running costs of Ihe Chariiy.
At the end of 2024 the Charity's reserves were as follows:_

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (Ihe Trust.) for the year ended 3111 Z12024.
As the chaiity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
('the Act.).
Responsibilitles and
basis of report
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
examiner's statsment come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Charities Act" or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records. or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
conceming the fonn and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any
requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not
a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
