During the review period. Nuiley Hall experienced continued s¢ability. Throughout 2024-25, we maintained our
ommith]ent lo providin8 high-quality, holistic, petson<entred care for our resident& despile ¢hall¢ng¢s such as
significanl cost-ol-living increases and wIdes￿rad stsff shortages across the sector. Our occupancy remained
Ste1￿Y? operating at full capaciiy with 33 residents, alongside ongoing interest from prospective residents. Feedba¢k

We successfully implan¢nted a £2￿.(￿￿) comprehensive site development and mainlenance program. focusing on
enhancing our lacililies lo betier serve the ecYDmuniry. This included upgrading facilitie5 in ihe main house.
converting a loft space into a stsff flat and rurnving flooring and ivindoivs 8cros5 th¢ sil¢.
Activilies both on and off-siie provided the residents with rich. meaningful and varied cxperience& Throughout the
week they accessed the following Craft workshops." w¢avery, cand1¢5 and baskels making. bakery, herb processing,
gardeDing and pottery. In addition, we provide regular sessions of music (both in groups and individual therapy
sessions), drami singin& and mov¢meTht. Thc weekly college cla55. aiming (0 3UPPOrt residents ivith their literacy
and numerdcy skills as well as connccling to local hi￿ory and geo£raphy. conlinued ihn)ughoui the perii)d. Art,
massage. music and wrythmy iherdpies also remain an importani part of our offering. Residents were also able lo
access local iowns for leisure acliviiies on a weekly basis.
Personalised summer holidays ￿re organised in various locations in th¢ UK and ivere thoroughly enjoyed by ihe
residents.
A number of successful and well-attended communiiy events were held. including a community walk. friends and
family gathering, Christmas produ¢lion. and gard¢n party. These ¢v¢nts provided valuable Op￿rtUnItieS for
resident& their familie& slalT. and friends to connecL S￿lalISe. and further strengthen lh¢ sense of community.
Recruiting staff and volunteers from overseas has become increasingly ci)rnplex and CO￿lY due to changes in
government policy. However. as an A-rated licensed sponsor. K successfully secured all neeessary perniils to meet
our 5taftTing needs. In addition, we coniinued to suppori a successfvl one-year placement programme for a group of
young volunieers from Qemiany.
The slaff training program continued to offer staff a sound of knoivledge for their ivork. All new care staff
completed ihe "Care Certificate". Apart from the mandatory training completed by all r¢levani #aff. we also focused
on bespoke iraining in arcas such os holistic care, art therapy, communication skills, mentsl healt￿ crafts &
resilience. Comprehensive education and training of stalT is a secondary aim of the Charity which (through
developing greater understanding and professionalism) is of direct benefil to the residents; it also has a broader
public benefii of providing training for staff who may later take their skills elS￿Vhere in social care ivork or related
rield5.
Governance & management issii¢s were tonlinually reviewed & developed with attendance ai relevant seminars and
workshops. Wc held our AGM which was w¢ll-attended by Members of th¢ Charity including members of residents,
families. fri¢nds & people in the wider local community.

The object for ivhich ihe chariry is established is the administration of a resideniial care home providing care,
educalion and craft activity for adulis iyith learning dis3biliiies.
Nutley Hall is a communitv, akin io a small 'village', inclusive of residenlial and day staff in addition lo the
residents (or service users) with learning disabilities. The emph&8iS is i)n community livin& bui one in ivhich the
uniqu¢n¢s5 of each person is recognised and resp¢¢ted. The talenls, hO￿S and aspirdtions of each individual resident
are valued as conlributions lo the ivhole. while Ihere is an endeavour lo promole and protect their rights, inieresi4
choices. needs and progression towards independence. wilh full dignity. There are three equally cs5ential strands
broughi into balance wiihin the ¢ommunity: the home life, the working life und Ihe Culwral life:
Home Life.. Nutley Hall consists currently of seven separate units in six houses, each functioning as a social &
domestic grouping inclusive of residenls (ranging from three in the smallest lo six in ihe largesl). house

chores, mutual support and social aclivilies. Residents are encouraged to be involved ivith staff in communal

provision of a wholefood diet based on bi04lynamic & organic produce. lo ihe maintenance ofthe fabric and decor
of the buildings, fittings and furnishing; and to the upkeep of the surrounding gardens & grounds The objeclive is to

culturc. Its direct beneficiaries are adults ivith a learning disability. though usually withoul severe medical or m¢nlil

The use of financial derivatives is governed by the charity's policies approved by the board of trustees, Ivhich
provid¢ MTilien principle5 On Ihe use of financi41 derivaiives to manage Ihese risks. Th¢ charity does not use
derivative financial tnslruments for speculative purposes.

The charity's principal financial assets are bank balances and cash, trade and other receivable4 and investments.
