The charity's strategy is to advertise once a year in the local press, inviting young people between 11 and 20 and resident in Devon and Cornwall to apply to the Trust for a grant to help them partake in character building activities and for which they need financial help. Applicants need to have a project in mind and shown initiative by raising some of the funds themselves.

Objects: (A) To Pursue The General Principles Of Education Laid Down By The Late Kurt Hahn (B) For That Purpose To Establish And Conduct Such Charitable Activities As Are Of Service To The Community And Consistent With Those Principles. (C) To Establish And Contribute To Such Scholarship Exhibition Prize Or Other Funds As The Trustees Consider Desirable To Enable Young People To Commence And To Pursue Their Education At Maintained Foundations Or At Foundations Which Themselves Are Charitable And Which Have Followed The Principles Referred To In Sub-Paragraphs (A) And (B) Above.
