ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 The Trustees present their report for the year ended 31 December 2024 Trustees The Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Deed of Trust Charit Commissionerfs Scheme and Governin Instruments and those holding office during the year were: Retyd M Standen Mr R Hobden Mrs A Jones Mrj Nicholl Mr P Gayler Objertives and Actlvltles To promote the education (including social and physical training) of children in accordance with the dortrines of the Church of England, in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Margaret, Angmering, and in particular by means of a Church of England School and otherwise in accordance with the provision of the Scheme. To provide special benefits of a kind not normally provided bythe local education authority of the school. To make grants for the benefit of the William Older Play Group (in succession to the Angmering Pre- school Playgroup). To provide special benefits of a kind not normally provided by the local authority for The Angmering School. To promote the education of children and young people who are resident in the said Parish and are in need of financial assistance in such ways as the Trustees think fit. There are no employees and artivities are the payment of donations, grants and direct costs relating to the objects of the Charity. Achievements and Performance During the year the Trust made payments to: St Margarets Church of England School The Angmering School Individuals of Grants towards the costs of educational courses.
Flnanclal Revlew Receipts during the year amounted to £28,458 (2023: £28.001) and the money expended during the year amounted to £26,124 (2023; £26.414). This resulted in a surplus for the year of £2,334 (2023: £1,587) Funds carried forward at the end of the year amounted to £19,646 (2023: £6.302} On behalf of the Board of Trustees Rewd M Standen (Chairman)
REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT EXAMINER TO THE TRUSTEES OF WILLIAM OLDER SCHOOL CHARITY Charlty Reglstratlon Number: 306424 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the William Older School Charity (the trust) for the year ended 31 December 2024 Responslbilities and basis of report As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Act). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying Out my examination I have followed all the applicable Direttions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Art. Independent examinerfs statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: l. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act: or 2. the accounts do not accord with the records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connertion with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
