## **Charitable objects** 

TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECTS OF NATURAL HISTORY, LOCAL HISTORY, ART, ARCHAEOLOGY, AND SCIENCE BY THE PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF A COLLECTION OF OBJECTS, SPECIMENS, BOOKS AND PRINTS OF ANTIQUITY, NATURAL HISTORY, LOCAL HISTORY, ART, ARCHAEOLOGY AND SCIENCE AND THE EXTENSION, ENHANCEMENT, CONSERVATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SAID COLLECTION. 

## **Achievements and performance:** 

Through the work of holding this very special collection, the charity trustee believes the charity provides public benefit. The trustee has regard to the commission's public benefit guidance. 

**Financial review:** Heritage assets were received as a restricted donation from Lyme Regis (Philpot) Museum Trust Limited during the year, with a deemed value of £41,000. Consent from the Charity Commission was obtained before this transfer was made. There was no other form of income or expenditure in the year. 

The Trustees’ report and Receipts and Payment Accounts were approved by Dr I J Evans, for and on behalf of the Trustee – Lyme Regis (Philpot) Museum Trust Limited on 30/09/2022.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ('the Trust") for the year ended 3111212021.
Responsibilitles and
basis of report
As the charty's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounls in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(￿he Act").
I report In respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examinalion. I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(51{b) of the Act.
Independent
examlner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no rnaterial matters have
com8 to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any malerial respec1=
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Chartties Act; or
the accounts did not accord with th8 accounling records,. or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
concerning the form and conlenl ol accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Fteportsl Regulalions 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts giv8 a 'true and fair. view which is nol a matter
considered as part of an independenl examination.
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in conneclion
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in
order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
