companies, business, museums and galleries, and freelance respectively. The candtdates who stand for the
Va¢8nl positsons wll reprèsent one of these industries. Successful candKJales who fill the vacancies for each
Industry Sect￿ are elected to sefve as trustees on the charily'5 8oar(J of %wih effect from the cnnclu5ion of
the September meeting of the Truslees and hold office f(Y three years lor four years in the case of a Tw51ee

rest of 2020 and 2021 and expect to run a ￿gl￿fiCanty reduced programme. Advantsge has been taken of

will lead lo a reduction of headc￿nI. Revised fOr8￿Sts have been prep¥ed through lo 2021 that confirm
that the actions taken together wth the reserves available will ensure that the Charity remains a going

The financial staiements c¢ynprise the charity arhj its wlY)IIy-owned subsidiary D&AD Trading Limited
on a line-by-line basi5. fran5actirx5 and balances b¢tween the charitable company its *Libsidiary
have been eliminated from Ihe Consolidated finanaal statements. Balan￿ behveen the two
Ct)mpanies are disclosed in the notes of the charitable company's balance sheet. A separate
statement of financial activities, or income and expenditure account. for the charitable company itself
is not presented because the charilable company has taken advantage of the exemptions afforded by
section 408 ofthe Companies *¢t 20￿.
These financial statem￿ts we prepar•J on a going c(YKem basis, under the historical cost
convention.
The financial statements are prepared ￿ stsding which is the functional currency of the charitable
group.
The financial stalemenls have been prepared in accordance 7Mth the Financial Reporting Stsndard
applKable in the UK and Republ￿ of Ireland {FRS 1021. The Charitable Company and tts subsidiaiies
arè a publie benefit group for the purposes of FRS 102 aTrJ therefore the Charity also p￿pa￿d sts
financial statements in accordan￿ with the Ststement of Recommended Pfactice applicable to
chafitses preparing thwr accounts in accordance wth the Financial R8p(xting Standard applicable in
the UK and Republ￿ of Ireland (The FRS 102 charib.es SORP) published in July 2014. ihe Companies

The trustees have assessed vthether the use of the wng ¢c*Kem bags ts apwopriate and have

Charitable group lo continue as a going concem induding the impact ol Cowd-19. As a result of the
lockdown. planned events have been cancelled with a consequent redudw in rvenug and
associated cosls. The charity has lakw advantage of the govemments job retenlion scheme and
implemenled a festructuring programme k) reduce costs. The trustees havè constdered forecasts for a
period of at least one year from the tjate of approval of the financial statements taking these steps in to
8¢counl. On the basis of thesè projections and reserves available to Ihe challty. the Iruslees have
concluded that there is a reasortable expectabon that the charitable gr￿p has adequate resources to
continue in operational exislence for the foreseeatye futurè. The chari¢able group therefore continue5
