Trustees Report
The 59 Club
For the year ended 31 July 2024
We have seen a great change in taking back control of our memorabilia and memberships from the Ace. This side of things is now mainly looked after by Angelo Lebrato, he has invested much time and energy into getting the web shop updated and working efficiently, making stock taking so much more efficient and streamlined. Ease of purchase of the clubs merchandise has seen a dramatic rise in income and sales. Angelo has also worked extensively on the joining process, which again has led to an uprise in memberships. We are grateful to have Angelo as part of our team.
Accounts were presented by out Treasurer Paul who is doing a stirling job, lots of toing and froing to simplify the accounts. Now it is all done electronically.
£7,498 in the current account £14,677 in the capital reserve £354 in petty cash
The club continues to attend many events throughout the year, perhaps even more than in the past. Sandra, Gary, Richard and Yvonne are the main group to take the club to events.
The club leaders all play a part in proceedings, however with Angelo doing merchandise and memberships it has freed up time for concentrating on fund raising and community projects.
We continue to have a good relationship with the Church, working together to support the club.
This year we have increased our charity work, which is part of the ethos of the club. Father Andrew is also looking into a Youth Training Scheme, for the club to be part of.
The club continues to provide a good service and safe haven for motorcyclists both young and old. We are on a growth ladder again at the moment. Promising times ahead as the Club hopefully goes from strength to strength.
Sandra Thomson Secretary to the Council of Management.
