First Wilton scout group AGM report
A very different set of account this year where fundraising has been reduced to zero due to the pandemic and restrictions that prevented any. Normally income would be in the form of bbqs during the summer and scout Christmas post at Christmas however in the place of these we have been very lucky to receive covid restriction grants from Wiltshire council of over twenty thousand pounds which has more than covered the income loss. Income from hall has also fallen significantly as it was shut for much of the year in fact it has halved. We were also very grateful to receive a grant from Wilton Middle school which has meant that the internet and av equipment have been installed at the hall to bring us up to date with technology. The minibus has also not been used at all so no income has been generated from this however it is looking hopeful that this will pick up again now restrictions are lifting. Finally the rag collection continues to bring in a small but steady income stream which for very little effort is very much appreciated
Our main expenses continue to be the insurance policies for the buildings and contents and the minibus and the capitation owed to group. We also continue to pay for a cleaners and maintenance of the hall, where by we try to paint and ensure general up keep so it is in good condition for hirers.
All in all a reasonable but different year. As we start reopening this financial year looks better with hall hire already picking up and the Christmas post hopefully going ahead to ensure some fundraising. The year ahead however remains challenging when trying to find new volunteers to enable fundraising to continue and keeping in with any restrictions as and when they arise!

Responsibilities and basis of report
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/3/2021 .
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
