Independont Examinerfs Roport to the Trustees of 1•t HOghvK•rth Scout Group
I report on the accounts of 1st Highworth Scout Group for the year ended 31 Mar
2024 which comprise the Statement of Financial Activites, the Balance Sheet and
related notes.
This report is made solely to the trustees in accordance with Section 145 of the
Charities Act 2011. My work has been undertaken so that I might state to the
charity's trustees those matters l am required to stste to them in an Independent
Examinerfs report and for no othw wrFM)se. To ￿ fullest extent pemiitted by law. I
do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than the charty and the
charity's trustees for my examination vth.
Respective rnsponslbllllles of Trustees and Examiner
The Group's trustees are responsible for the preparation of ts accounts. They
consider that an audit is not required for this year (under Sedion 144 of ts Charities
Act 2011 {the Charities Act)) and that an indewthnt examination is needed.
It is my ￿SPonsIbl1ty to:
Examine the accounts (urmler Section 145 of the Charthes Act);
. To follow ts wocedures laKI dovm in the General Directions given by the Chanty
Commissioners (under Sedion 145 (5) (b) of the Charities Act); and
• To state whether partI￿lar matters have come to my att￿tt10n.
Basis of Independent Examlnerfs report
My examination was carried out in accordance Imth the Gener31 Directions given by
the Charity Commissioners. An examination indudes a review of the acGounting
records kept by the Group and a comparison of the accounts ￿esented %Mth those
records. It also indudes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts, and 8eekirKJ 8xK4analions from you as trustees conceming any such
matters. The pr(￿edureS undertaken do not provide all the evidence that woukl be
required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts
present a Irue and fairf view arKI the report is limited to those matters set out in the
statement below.
Independent Examlnerfs statthne
In conne(aion with my examination. no matter has come to my attention:
1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material resped the
requirements
to keep aCc￿nI11vj rec(Kts in accordarKe with Secticm 130 of the Charities AGt
and
to Fryare accounts vthich accord wth the accounting records and comply with
the accountirKJ requirements of the Charthes Act have not been met;
or
2. to which, in my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to ena1￿ a proper
understandirKJ of the accounts to be reached.
