The Group Board of Trustees has idenlilied the major risk8
to %thich they believe Ihe Group is 8xposed, these have
been reviewed and syst8ms have been established lo
mitigate againsl Ih8m. The main areas of concern that have
been identified arè..
Damage to the building, property and equipment. The Group
would requesl the use of buildingg, property and equipment
from neighbouring organisations such as the church,
community centre and other Scout Groups. Similar reciprocal
arrangements exist with these organisations. The Group has
SLrffi¢ient buildings and contents insurance in Pla￿ lo
mitigalé against pernianent loss.
Injury to leaders, helpers, supportars and members. The
Group through Ihe capitation fees conlribules lo the Scout
Associations nation81 accident insurance policy. Ri¥k
Assessments are undertaken before 811 activities.
Reducad income from fund raising. Th• Group is primarily
reliant upon income from subscriptions and lundraising. The
group does hold a reserve to ensure the continuity of
activities should there be a major reduction in income. The
Committee could raise the value of subscriptions to increase
the income to the group on an ongoirvJ basi8, either
temporarily or permanently.
Reduction or loss of leaders. The group is totally reliant
upon volunteers to run and administer the activities ol thè
group If there was 8 r8duction in th8 number of18aders lo
an unacceptable level in a particu18r section or the group as
