Scrutineer's Report to the Trustees of the 1[st] Weybridge (Brooklands Own) Scouts Scout Council
I report on the accounts of the Group/District for the year ended 31 March 2025
Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Scrutineer
As the Group's/District's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts; you consider that neither the audit nor independent examination requirements of the Charities Act 2011 apply. It is my responsibility without carrying out an audit or independent examination to scrutinise the accounts and to report to you.
Basis of Scrutineer's Statement
In accordance with the directions given in the Group's/District's constitution, I have scrutinised the records and the accounts set out on pages 2 to 3.

Financial Report 24/25
During the year a cash funds made a net gain of £1,976.90.
Total reserves at 31 March 2025 were £30,915.38.
Other non-monetary assets totalled: £521,217
Income notes:

Activities and fundraising: we returned to a small loss from activity costs and fundraising: minus £2,769.72 within the financial year. Ideally we should aim to half our losses again in the year ‘25/’26 to deliver our longer term goal to manage activities and fundraising on a break even basis.

Lettings: improved again to plus £4,480 year on year. We decided to keep charges unchanged for another year and also at the lower end of the market rate. This is aligned to our goal of providing a low cost community service and very slowly building reserves for future repairs.

The Capitation Charge for Youth Members was £3,728.50.
