Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
The maintenance and provision of a village hall to be used by the residents of the village of Ashurst and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, or of religious, political or other opinions, and in particular for lectures, classes and meetings, and for leisure-time occupation and other forms of recreation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the above mentioned inhabitants.

Continuing to ensure the Village Hall remains a readily accessible community centre primarily for local residents. Events facilitated include WI, Flower and Produce Show, Film Night,Yoga, Pilates, Clock Repair Club, and a biennial drama production. Due regard has been paid to Charity Commission advise and guidance on Public Benefit.
