PEACE MEMORIAL HALL- HERSTMONCEUX (RCN305254) TRUSTEES REPORT YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 The Trustees present their Annual Report with the AiKlited Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024 Peace Memorial Hall - Herstmonceux (more commonly known as HersImon￿uX Village Hall) operates under a scheme dated 1s1 October 1948 as varied by a scheme of the Charty Commissioners dated 15th April 1996 and is registered with the Charty Commission under number 305254. Prin These remain the same as set out in the Charity Commission records and the Trustees ensure that these objects are adhered to in the running and management of the Hall. vi The Hall is heavily used by Parishioners and residents in the localty of Herstmonceux Parish, the village Pre-school playgroup. Women's Institute. Herstmonceux Amateur Theatrical Society, Under 5's group, meetings of Parish Council, Free Church events, Parish Church events, several dan￿ and fftness groups and used for wedding re￿ptiOnS, funeral teas and parties for young children. The Hall has been maintsined and operated by the Management Committee. The Committee have reviewed and ensured that all njles and regulations and operating procedure and certificates have been obtained. The Hall received, with thanks, a grant of £500 from Herstm0n￿uX Parish Council towards the cost of a door replacement. Fin vi The accounts detsil the fact that the Hall actual hall hire income ( excluding Grants ) has decreased slightly. The hire income was £40939.14. The expenditure was £52450.19 for the year which was higher than usual. The additional cost related to the provision of a new foul drainage system at a cost of £6396.00 and the resurfacing of the Main Hall floor at a cost of £4039.20. The funding for both came from the previous grants received. The Hall is heavily used and OT great benefft to the residents in the area. The Hall bankers are HSBC Bank plc. It is my responsibility to issue this report on those accounts in accordance with the terms of Regulations.
