management committee which runs the hall is elected by the various
organisalions in the village and by those who attend the AGM subject to
the rules sel out in the Deed of conve

The current Trustees have been unchanged for a number of years
The Major risk is the 8bility of this small village to continue raising funds to
support the upkeep of and the running costs of the Hall. Remarkably over
the years funds have been raised, and proved by local authority and other
charity grants to build and extension lo accommodate proper kitchen and
toilet facilities and a meeting room, upgrade insulation and healing I
installation of doLJble glazing and air-source heal pumps) and more
recently the installation of a new sprung floor for the main hall.

A secondary risk is gelling villagers to help in the running and organisalion
of the Hall which we have so far been able to do.
This Is all kept under review on a regular basis.
CLSrrenlly we are embarking on thè construction of a new shop to the side
of the hall to accommodate the community shop which commenced
operation in 2019. In addition we need now to upgrade kitchen and loilet
facilities and our current funds will all help with Ihose endeavours as well
as providing comfort that we have sufficient funds lo cover one year's

We invest with banks at present ensuring they are licenced by the FCA.
Without the volunteers on Ihe management committee and others who
help from lime lo time the Hall would be lost to the village and it is a
fantastic facility

The biggest achievemenls this year were
1) organising and pulling on another fundraising pantomime which
raised a nel c£4.500 for the Village Hall.11 brought a great deal of
enjoyment lo both Ihe participants and the general public
2) The installation of a new floor lo the main hall an essential need
to replace an ageing wooden floor which was becoming a hazard
for particularfy young users. 11 cost over £12,000 funded mainly
by a grant form Mid Suffolk District Council and partly from our
own funds. A number of people pul a lot of effort into the
preparation for the installation

("the Act-).
I report in respect of my examination of Ihe Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examinalion, I
have followed all the apFAicabie Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
