SIDEGATE LANE COMMUNITY CENTRE TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT 2022
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
In his absence due to him moving recently away our secretary reports that sadly Brian Finbow has passed away during the last nine months. He has been our faithful Sequence Dancing representative.
The Club has returned fairly well after the Covid shut down although always on the look out for new members to join.
We are looking for a gardener for our grass and borders should anyone wish to take on the challenge. Thanks to our treasurer Peter who manages our complex finances so very well. We look forward to our members support for the coming year.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The Hon.Treasurer distributed detailed copies of the Centre’s Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2022. He thanked all the sections for seeing to the collection of the monies.
It has been nice to have an income again from all the club activities though the total is a little down on last year. In the Financial year we have received Grants of £7,252 from the Govt. via Ipswich Borough Council. Without the grant we would have had a surplus of £1,151 of income over expenditure.
It has cost £900.00 to replace the defibrillator. Gas and Electricity have gone up in price.

ELECTION OF ADDITIONAL MEMBERS OF THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
John Bacon had offered himself for re-election and was duly elected. There had been a nomination for Chairman - Stephen Westaway who was unanimously duly elected.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The Committee according to our rules, will appoint a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Hon Secretary, Hon Treasurer and Hon Minuting Secretary at our next meeting. The present officers have offered themselves for re-election and no further nominations have been received.

ELECTION OF SECTION REPRESENTATIVES ON THE COMMITTEE WHO USE THE BAR David Vickers, John Bacon, Peter Keeble and Sylvia Finbow had offered themselves for re-election. There being no further nominations, no election was required and it was declared the above members as being duly elected.
ANNUAL SUBSCIPTION
In accordance with constitutional practice, The Management Committee at their last meeting recommended the level of subscription for the coming year:
The Proposal is that the Subscription for the year 2022/2023 remain at £10.00 for all members. This was agreed unanimously.
APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDANT EXAMINER
The accounts were dealt with very promptly. The Treasurer proposed that Mr. S. Lasky FCCA, RDP Accountants carry out an Independent Examination of the Accounts for the coming year. This was agreed unanimously.
