In thss drfh'cull year for us all. l am glad tIHI l (an report a year of (x)ns￿1erab￿ improvements to our
Hall. Our Committee tsve worked hard to fr'roltse warious granls and priyJress has ￿rtainlY been
made in secur1[￿ a gocxt future for our Hall - rx)w approachir¥J it's 11XMh year as centre of our
vilkge.
In particular, the r￿￿ heating has been (x)mpleted. a ￿r6kjerab]e Lpgrade on the prevtOLS
system. We now have a silent system, vthlM)ut ￿¢sY fans. wh.ch i8 programrnable remotely. This
should gFve us a more ecorK)mi￿1 system for year5 alEad, by means of an Air sour￿ pump.
We have also compfeted tre intemal rew doors ￿tween the main hall arxy the k)unge, which give
lar better sound pr￿tIng when different events are happenirrfJ in these separate areas. also
giving us the option of using the wtK)ie area for larger events.
Both of these were wssible thanks to Grants which were obtained, through lengthy processes tor
which I thank those involved. The detaits you will see in our Treasurer& report.
More re￿ntty we were able lo trar6form ow Patio area, tF&qnks to CIL money gratefulty re￿iVed
trom Our Parish Cour￿11. We mw have a r￿W surla(x made from a sustainable resin irthrporating
iecycled plastic, rEw p(cnic tables arKI be￿. umbrelias arKI a gaze￿. Soon, new lightiry will
be (ximpleted t￿. This will all enha¥K£ our facility give f￿xibIl￿ and oplK)ns for future hirer's
events.
We rK)w have a new sign by Ihe roadshle loo, which you may have rotIc￿. Another at the
opposile eryj is at preserrt awattiry the recessary plannirKJ approval.
On retirement of our Booking Clerk. Richard Hyde. lor past servi￿S we are very
grateful. we IK4ve been able to wel(x)nE Mrs Jerwtie Kirg WIKJ has taken over ttNs important role.
There have t￿eTr several GovemrrEnt Grants r￿1ved. to which we were eligible these have
been (tsed for the or001￿ exper6es of running Hall when no otrEr revenue has been received
due to Covid. Any ex￿ will be for more w)dab"ru of 0￿r areas of the Hall which we
already have in mind.
I can rep)rt that of our regukr Hall wrs have rKJW retumed. arKI the Hall is in use four
evenirwJs a week currenuy. TIEre are also some larger events ￿r￿Illed into Bookings Diary
awaiting wnfirmation vthen curTent restricliorts are eased. We look lonvard to the retum of Sock81
Club everrts. arKJ wrth a growiro population in tl* village we twe the future of our Hall is well
assured.
