The charity exists for the public benefit by providing by providing meeting space for hire. Exford Memorial Hall (Exford Village Hall) is a key local venue and is used for a wide variety of community events. The hall is used by many local groups as well as the village primary school for bi-weekly PE classes and also for many fundraising activities in the village.

Objects: The purpose of Exford Memorial Hall is the provision and maintenance of a Memorial Hall for use by the inhabitants of the parish of Exford and the surrounding neighbourhood without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for: (a) meetings, lectures and classes, and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants. The heritage of the building is significant to the community and the restoration and preservation of the monument, historial artifacts and Exmoor traditions and crafts for Exford, and the wider community, are integral to the prrpose of the Memorial Hall.
