## **Weldon Village Hall Trustees Report 2024** 

Weldon Village Hall is a busy, community facility used by a wide variety of clubs and groups every day of the week, including Weldon Art Club, Weldon Pre-School, Bowls Club and Kettlercise, Yoga Group and Martial Arts. It is also available for hire for events and functions. Managed by a committee of volunteers, Weldon Village Hall employs a caretaker and a cleaner. 

2024 was a productive year for Weldon Village Hall. A grant from North Northants Council of £17,000 meant that we were able to carry out some much-needed remedial work on the roof the hall. Bookings were very healthy, with the hall in use six days a week with regular groups and also plenty of one-off bookings when capacity allows. Fundraising activities included the a clothes bank in the village hall car park and a community bingo night, which will become a regular fixture in the village calendar. 

We continue to employ two members of staff, a cleaner and caretaker, with committee members also helping out where necessary. 

As always, we struggle to find new trustees to join the Village Hall Management committee but two new additions to the committee in 2024 have already made a real difference and we’re confident that Weldon Village Hall can remain an integral part of the local community for the foreseeable future.
