## **Thorpe Malsor Village Hall Management Committee Report** 

## **May 2022** 

Like most organisations TMVH has finally come through the Covid pandemic after being completely shut down from March 2020 and then safely managed through all the various restrictions thereafter.  It was a challenging time with regard to the regulations and risk assessments required for our hirers and the committee. 

As TMVH pays business rates, we were eligible for the Gov.UK grants schemes. Initially these paid out automatically and then the committee made further application to receive entitled grant aid. 

As at May 2022 both our historic hirers have returned to normal attendance.  The Model Railway Group meet on Wednesday evening and continue to develop their exhibition layouts, and support each other socially.  Sadly they lost some members during Covid but have new members coming through now. 

The Martial Arts Group now attend on a Saturday morning (previously Sunday morning) and are again back up to normal attendance. 

We were very pleased to welcome the 1[st] Broughton Guide Company as they were unable to return to Cransley Village Hall during Covid.  The Guides attend on a Monday evening and have now been joined by a new Brownie pack earlier in the evening.  It is good to see young people using the hall. 

TMVH continues to be available for one-off bookings, for example funeral wakes and also the NNC Supporting Independence Scheme. 

TMVH welcomes enquiries from any member of our local community. 

TMVH are making a significant contribution to the upcoming Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Lunch on 

5[th] June 2022 when it is hoped many villagers will partake of the Hog Roast!
