Purposes of the Charity
The objectives of MiddletonCheney village hall are to continue to provide anasset to enhance and enrich the lives of the residents of the village of MiddletonCheney and residents from the surrounding areas, with a safe, clean,welcoming and affordable space to enjoy for recreation and wellbeing forchildrenand adults.
Governance
The village hall is run by a volunteer management committee of trusteesdrawn from residents of the local community and one nominated member from each user group of whom arestated in the governing documents of the charity. The group members are from Age Concern, Women’s institute, bowls, amateur dramatics group Lynden Players, Middleton Cheney playing fieldsassociation, and residents.Members are elected at an annual AGM generally held in May each year.
The trustees
The Committee musthold a meeting a minimum of three times per year but generally the committee meet every two / three month’stoconsider matterspertaining to the ongoing use of the hall, and to identify and discuss and problems or improvements needed.
The committee has a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer who are resident committee members,not associated with any groups,so there is no conflict of interest should one ever arise.
All meetings have an agenda that is sent via email to all committee members before a meeting. Minutes are taken and sent to all members then discussed and approved at the following meeting.
All finances and agenda items are discussed during a committee meeting and voted onby all, and minutes of the vote taken.
What we do
Middleton Cheney village hall Trustees are aware of the need for the charity to provide a public benefit and MiddletonCheney village hall trusteesfeel they fulfil that requirement in
providing an essential facility for may activities for a wide range of the local community from children, young persons, adults, families and older persons.
There is a wide verity of leisure and cultural activities that take place in MiddletonCheneyVillage Hall.
The hallis hired for a fee, of which covers costs to maintain and upkeep the building. The hall is hired tonon-profit groups and residents to provide a space foractivities, including but not limited toballet, dance and tap for children up to adult, Indoor sports like bowls, yoga, movement and exercise groups, amateur dramaticsfor children and adults with performances, Mother and baby groups, Age Concern and Women’sinstitutemeetings and activities, health and wellbeing groups as well asfamily gatherings for parties and or celebrations.
The hall is used every day of the week during normal times and many weekends. Policies and documents
The trustees decide and write all the policiesand documents held and used by MiddletonCheney village hall, whereby they are written and then circulated with all the trustees and altered in accordance with the input of all.
Risk and fire safety assessments as well as booking and hire information forms and CCTV policies.
Hire booking forms, terms and conditions of hire, hire deposit forms and the CCTV policy, are sent to all hires. They are kept as a record of all activity and income for the village hall.

Responsibilities and As the Gharity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requiremenls of the Charities Act 2011 {"the Act").
